The evaluations for the 9th Edition of the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) are currently underway in Dhaka, focusing on nominees from Bangladesh.
The evaluation process began in Colombo and has since continued in Bengaluru, New Delhi, Kathmandu, and Paro. The final leg of the evaluations will take place in the Maldives.
SATA stands out as the only regional travel awards program where nominees are not required to pay any fees for their nominations. Instead, they participate in a rigorous presentation and evaluation process.
The awards are endorsed by more than 18 prominent travel and tourism organizations, including national tourism boards across South Asia.
Previous SATA Gala events have been hosted in locations such as Mount Lavinia, Galle City, Addu City, North Malé Atoll, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kathmandu and Bhutan. The 2025 Gala is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka on September 19th and 20th.
