Following successful evaluation rounds in Sri Lanka (Colombo) and India (Bengaluru and New Delhi), the evaluations for the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2025 have now commenced in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.
Nominees from Nepal will be evaluated until May 23, after which the jury will proceed to Paro, Bhutan, continuing the regional assessment process.
SATA remains the only travel award in the region that conducts in-person evaluations across South Asia and does not charge for participation or the evaluation process. A distinguished multinational panel of jurors travels across eight cities, allowing nominees to present their entries directly. The jury assesses and scores each nomination to highlight the finest in South Asian hospitality.
The 9th edition of the South Asian Travel Awards is scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka in September 2025.
