South Asian Travel Awards 2026 Opens for Nomination, Introducing New Individual Excellence Categories

The South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) has launched its 2026 nomination period, welcoming submissions from travel and hospitality professionals throughout the region. Now celebrating its tenth anniversary, the program recognizes excellence across Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and India.

Two fresh categories debut this year: Outstanding Chef and Outstanding Young Hotelier (Under 40 Years), addressing culinary talent and emerging hospitality leaders. The awards maintain credibility through endorsements from 15 international and regional tourism bodies.

The selection process involves a structured evaluation by experienced judges and industry experts, assessing entries across categories including best new hotels, designer hotels, and riverfront properties. The program functions beyond simple recognition — it facilitates networking, collaboration, and industry knowledge-sharing across South Asia's travel sector.

Interested participants can submit nominations online at the official awards website. The submission deadline is March 25, 2026.
